Quick Question... Is the Orbi rbs50-100na a Satellite or an Extender??
Hi Netgear Community ... I'm brand new here
I have a quick question... Is the Orbi rbs50-100na a "Satellite" or an "Extender"? (see more-complete question, below)
I realize that both words ("Satellite" and "Extender") are used to describe this product, but what I really need to know is this ... is the Orbi rbs50-100na TRULY an add-on Satellite to an existing Orbi Mesh System, or is it just one more of the many crappy 'extenders' that the wifi industry (not just Netgear, but many companies) sells to consumers who are trying to add a greater distance to a weak wifi system?
Thanks in advance for your answers!

Re: Quick Question... Is the Orbi rbs50-100na a Satellite or an Extender??
Satellite is a NG sononamous word for Extender. One in the same. Just a small difference is that the RBS have a dedicated wireless back haul on the 2nd 5Ghz radio which is not user configurable or usable. And Orbi RBS series satellites can only be use with Orbi systems. RBSW and RBSY I believe can be use with non Orbi MESH systems.
