RB50 Sattelite Partially working after DHCP config change

Hi Everyone

I've recently changed my ISP including my ISP router that is in front of the Orbi router.

As i've connected my new ISP, the Orbi updated me that it will change the internal segment's IP addresses since the old ones are similar to the IP it's getting in the WAN port from the ISPs router.

I agreed, all of my devices got new IP addresses and seem to be working fine.

The only issue im experiancing is that my Orbi sattelite is shown as disconnected in the Orbi web UI as well as all devices connected to it do not appear there.

However, the sattelite seems to be working as an extendor and all devices connected to it are working as well, even the speeds are decent.

I've tried resetting the sattelite with a SIM-tool and nothing happened, I've treid removing it from the orbi web UI (see attached picture) and nothing happens.

What can I do to have full visibility back.

Thanks a ton!

S

Re: RB50 Sattelite Partially working after DHCP config change

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Having a router in front of the Orbi router can be problematic. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Please try a factory reset and setup from scratch with the RBR and RBS. Do this with the RBS near or in the same room as the RBR.

Try rebooting the ISP modem first, router second, then the satellites.
