RBR20

Updated my Spectrum provided modem to newer version of same model.

Connected my trip-band RBR20 router system and it will not connect to internet.

Tried all trouble shooting methods for several hrs and won't connect to internet.

Re-installed old modem and connected to internet in 5 minutes.

Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve ?

Re: RBR20

Sounds more like the new modem was initialized/provisioned from the isp.

What modem is the old one?

And the new one?

Current setup: CM2000-> RBKE963B-> Trendnet TEG-S380-> GS716T-> pi-hole
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80

Re: RBR20

Hello Bigdog74,

Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

I understand that you are having issues connecting your RBR20 to your new spectrum modem. Please ensure that you are on the latest firmware 2.7.4.24.

To ensure you are on the latest firmware for your RBR20 please follow the steps below:

  1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your Orbi network.
  2. Enter orbilogin.com.
  3. Enter the username and password.
    The user name is admin. The default password is password. The username and password are case-sensitive.
    The BASIC Home page displays.
    Your Orbi router's firmware version is located in the upper-right corner.

If the issues persist after verifying that you are on the current firmware version please try the following steps to resolve this issue:

  1. Turn off your ISP modem.
  2. Disconnect your RBR20 from your modem via ethernet.
  3. Reset your RBR20.
  4. Then turn it off.
  5. Turn on your modem (wait for it to fully boot up).
  6. Connect your RBR20 via ethernet cable to your modem.
  7. Now turn on your RBR20.

If you are not on the current firmware version please manually update your firmware to version 2.7.4.24 by navigating to the link below:
