RBR50 *2 for dual WAN ?

Hi, with 2 Internet acces provider.
I use FVS336Gv2 to aggregate the 2 WANs.
Then 7500 to share Wifi.
It work well, but :
- lack of house and garden coverage
- 2 devices management (in add of 2 modems)
- only 4 wires connexions for main subnet (need one more switch)
- need for better Wifi performance

So, could I use two connected RBR50 for dual WAN and Tri-Band functionality ?

Other thinks, could we add a 4G WAN on RBR50 ?

Thanks in advance for your time to answer 😊.

so i assume the wifi is the netgear r7500

the FVS336Gv2 is acting as your router so its fine to leave it doing that

the simplest way would be to run the orbi system in AP mode behind the FVS336Gv2 , this would also avoid dual nat

the orbi doesnt have dual wan connectivity so you would still have to use the FVS336Gv2 for that

the orbi doesnt currently support any form of 3g/4g support

also the orbi isnt actually tri band as such as the second 5 gig is used specifically for its backhaul connectivity and is not available for client connection use

hope that answers a few questions for you

Your best bet is to keep your FVS336Gv2 dual-wan router, and replace your existing WiFi with Orbi in Access Point mode.

Dear Pete,

Yes is it the netgear r7500.

I had hoping to connect two RBR50 for all my need.

And 4G support with USB.

But not. Good explanation/information 🙂

See You.
