RBR50 5.0Ghz not working and satellites stopped connecting
Hello. I've had a look around but can't see anything that seems to correlate directly to this problem.
Setup = RBR50 router, 2x RBS50 and 1x RBS50Y satellites
Connneted via Wi-Fi, not hard wired yet.
Was all working perfectly well before - incredible speeds and coverage. Full green on the network map.
We needed to power off everything for a few days as we were having extensive electrical works on the house, nothing of which would affect this system. Upon restoring, the network is not returning to its previous state.
-Network map has same topology, but satellites now showing as red
-Looking at connected devices, everything is showing as connected on 2.4ghz which was not the case before - I've checked in advance setting and broadcast on 5.0ghz is definitely enabled.
-Also within connected devices, the satellites are showing fine - connected on 5G, good backhaul, unique IP's in the right subnet and MAC addresses.
-All satellites can be pinged fine.
-When checking on firmware, it stated that the RBR50 was up to date, however it was running v2.5.x when the latest version is v2.6.1.40. I have now updated this manually.
-Upon checking the RBS50's, in noticed their firmware was also out of date, so I've now also updated them.
-Within connected devices, nothing is connected to the satellites and all devices only connect to router, on 2.4 only as mentioned.
-The satellite devices work fine hard-wired to a laptop, give out a DHCP address and get out fine to the internet.
-Curiously, the bedroom satellite which connects to the router via the hallway satellite is broadcasting SSID 'dniwifi' which is different to the other devices. This is the only SSID that shows on 5.0 in Wifi Analyzer.
As expected, we've rebooted everything and tried to re-synch but nothing. The lack of 5.0 seems to be at the root of the problem, but nothing will connect via Wi-Fi to the satellites and only on 2.4ghz to the router. I'm not sure what could have happened here just from powering down but I'm struggling to get to the root cause.

Re: RBR50 5.0Ghz not working and satellites stopped connecting
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Re: RBR50 5.0Ghz not working and satellites stopped connecting
I have not done a factory restore since fw upgrade, was hoping to avoid but was next step in the absence of a diagnosis. I have backed up the config. I wanted to pinpoint a reason to understand what had gone wrong and for future reference, rather than just doing a full restore as a starting point.
Whilst I understand the other questions you've asked, they are largely redundant due to:
"Was all working perfectly well before - incredible speeds and coverage. Full green on the network map"
...so these aren't initial setup concerns. It was absolutely 100% previous, but something has changed to cause the current issue.

Still helps us to know what you have, regardless. Anything is possible when it comes to orbi.
