RBR50 (Orbi Router) Firmware Version 2.7. 2.104.

Is it safe to download the latest firmware version (2.7.2.104).  Reading on comments in the community and online, there are some bugs in it.  Please help....

IF yoru system is working. Keep what you have. If you do decide to update. Manually download and manually install the FW. Power OFF the system for 30 seconds then back ON. Don't update using Orbi app.

I've upgraded to .104 about a week or two after its been released. No issues whatsoever.

Based on the release notes it addresses security vulnerabilities. So it's ultimately your decision if you want to keep your network secure or not.

Anyways you can downgrade anytime you have issues with .104.

I haven’t upgraded yet. I’m a little hesitant.
My ORBI is working fine right now. But I think I will upgrade it the way u mentioned instead of the APP.
My neighbor has the same ORBI and she has it somehow set up where it upgrades automatically through the ORBI App. It’s been running fine so far for her.

Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
