RBR50 slow wired speeds
I check the speed test on the Orbi app, and I'm getting 600-750Mbps (paying for 912Mbps from Spectrum). I have a wired connection, Cat 8, from my ethernet port on the Orbi router to my laptop docking station. Run a speed test, and I'm getting no better than 225Mbps. What am I missing? Did a factoy reset on the Orbi, no changes.

Re: RBR50 slow wired speeds
Can you connect your laptop directly to the RBR and by pass the dock station?
Do you have a different wired PC to test with and compare results?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Use Ooklas installable speed test app for Windows...

Re: RBR50 slow wired speeds
speedtest.net still giving my 250Mbps approx. Wired it directly to my laptop (no dock), no improvement. ISP is Spectrum, and modem model #is E31T2V1 (Charter).

Re: RBR50 slow wired speeds
There was posts a while back that mentioned Traffic meter causing speeds not to be where they are at. Try disabling it, if no change, I would factory reset and setup from scratch and be sure not to enable the aforementioned features. Wired speed should be to spec then.

I’m having a similar problem. Did you ever get this resolved?

How are you speed testing?
What devices are you using to speed test with?
Browser speed testing or app speed testing?

Re: RBR50 slow wired speeds
For me, I think it came down to my hardware. Laptop was a bit older, so ethernet port was not able to support the higher bandwidth. That said, I've moved on from this router and have a new laptop.
