RBS40V stops streaming music suddenly but shows connected in Alexa app
I have see an older post on this, but this issue did not appear to get resolved. In many reviews I also see frustration with the Alexa Functionality of the RBS40/50V . I have the newest firmware as of 5/14/2020 and my Satellite will operate on voice commands to Alexa. However when I ask it to stream music, Alexa will respond and the music will identify the selected provider (Amazon Music, I Heart Radio, etc) and the genre/title. Music will start and play for maybe up to 15-30 seconds and then just stop.
I have deregistered from Alexa and re-registered
I have resynched the Satellite
I have powered on/off both the Router and Satellite to reset the connection.
I have upgraded the firmware
The device mesh does have Armor and Circle enabled.
At one time it would stream just fine, just the volume would go crazy (as well documented elsewhere). I finally got that under control last year and now it just won't stream.
Any thoughts other than to just chuck the Alexa functionality?

I have now access the debug page on the RBS40v and also made sure the touchboard and DSP firmwares are still up to date.
Fun Fact, you also have an admin page for the RBS40v that is different than your main admin page.

Re: RBS40V stops streaming music suddenly but shows connected in Alexa app
Hello BooleanVariable,
I understand that you were having issues with the connection stability of the RBS40V. Are you still having these issues after ensuring the firmware version of the Touch Board and the device?
Best,
Kevin

Re: RBS40V stops streaming music suddenly but shows connected in Alexa app
Yes, most definitely still having issues. Alexa responds well to simple commands, but will not stream music through the device. Only 15 sec or so are played. Alexa app will show connected and it will appear to be playing through the Orbi, but no sound is coming through after the initial 15 sec bit.
