I have the RBS50 v2 with one sattelite with firmware 2.5.1.16 the router wired into the Xfinity xfi gateway. My router and the gateway are next to each other in the lower level of my house with the sattelite upstairs. The gateway is in bridge mode. I should also mentioned I have the 1gbs service from Xfinity. What kind of wireless speed can I expect to get from the Orbi router and how can I test that? Speed test on the router sometimes shows 800. Can I expect that kind of speed on my network? I'm not very savy when it comes to wireless networks.

There are any number of "Speed Test" apps and web sites, including:
SpeedOf.Me
TestMy.net
Speedtest.net
Fast.com
speed.googlefiber.net
The fastest theoretical 2.4G connection rate is 400mbs. The fastest theoretical 5G connection rate is 866mbs. In practice, the farther away the WiFi device is from the WiFi access point, the lower the speed. WiFi also loses a considerable amount of bandwidth to WiFi overhead, management frames, etc.
It is a little humorous (pathetic?) that manufacturers decided to describe WiFi products by adding the maximum possible (theoretical) bandwidth of all radios. Orbi has (1) 400mbs 2.4G radio, (1) 866mbs 5G radio, and (1) 1,733mbs 5G backhaul radio (which is not available to user devices). 400+866+1733 = 2,999, so "voila" Orbi is "AC3000". What a crock of ....(excrement).
Test close to the Orbi router with a modern smartphone connected at 5G and what will be the most you will ever see.

Wireless speeds are subject to many variables. Depending on the size of your home and the placement of the satellites with regard to the router plays a big part. In my case, because of the layout and a separate building, I hard wired my Satellites, which makes a huge difference in speed. The lowest speed anywhere in my home is around 250Mbps, off of a 500Mbps ISP service. Before wiring the Sats, the lowest was around 110Mbps.
