Rbr 40 and rbs50 questiom

I have an rbr40 with 2 satellites ..I just purchased an rbs50 to add on...would it be better to swap the main hub from the 40 to the 50 and use all 40s as satellites ...or just add the 50 as a 3rd satellite

Please double check the model number of the add on.

If it is really RBS50, then it can only be added as a satellite.

If it is actually an RBR50, then it can take the place of the RBR40 router (which cannot be turned into a satellite), so you end up with what you started with: one router and two satellites.

Hello Pmpic,

Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

I understand that you would like to configure your network to use both Orbi 50 and Orbi 40 AC mesh network equipment. Please note that the network speeds will reflect the maximum network capabilities of the least capable network device installed on the network.

Best,

Kevin
