ReadyShare on Orbi network

Is there a way to use the ReadySHARE USB connections on an older Netgear router (e.g., R4500) to get the file-share capabilty onto an upgraded Orbi home network?  i.e., somehow setup/configure and connect the old R4500 to the network such that all users on the home network and see, read from, and write to USB drives connected to the R4500 USB ReadyShare ports.  If so, could that old R4500 even be set up as a Media Server on the network to share and play audio files, etc.?

Since I have the two Orbi Satellites on the network, I do not need the wireless capabilities of the R4500 to be used - i.e., I do not need to run it as a wireless access point, and it can be placed close enough to connect to the Orbi base with ethernet cables (RJ45).

Is this possible?

Re: ReadyShare on Orbi network

Worth trying to put the R4500 in AP mode and see if ReadyShare with a USB drive connects.

Won't be integrated into Orbis UI or system.
