Changing to Puretalk USA if that matters , but more importantly they allow hot spotting . I am wanting a dedicated, full-time WiFi hotspot like Netgear's Orbi LBR20 https://www.netgear.com/orbi/lbr20.aspx . It allows a SIM card to be inserted, acting like a modem and router in one unit, operating on a cellular network. I cannot get a definitive answer from both Puretalk or Netgear wether it will work. If wireless network providers allow hotspotting/tethering with a phone, does it follow that this unit would work? Is the SIM card programming embedded with "seeing and differentiating" between a phone versus a dedicated data device? Are these types of devices created with a SIM card fake out, making like it is a phone? Does any of that matter or will the wireless provider see the type of unit and then allows or disallows it's use? Please help.
They are not listed as one of the compatible providers. And I don't think you will get a definite answer. I guess purchase it, see if it works, and if not, send it back?
Thank you Mstrbig. Puretalk USA uses the AT&T network so that may be one step closer. Not sure I can return it, I cannot find it except on Netgears store. I have yet to look at their return policy.

If Puretalk USA uses the AT&T network, it should work fine.
