SSID Naming
Hi. I just got my orbi rbk50. When setting up the system I tried to create the same ssid name as my old system which included a ‘
orbi setup says I can’t use this. So that means all my LIFX lightbulbs and ring doorbell have to be hard reset.
‘Why won’t it allow a ‘
surely this basic stuff

Maybe some thing NG doesn't support on the Orbi system. i usually don't use specialized characters in SSID names. Maybe a ( - ) dash is all.
You might ask NG support over phone weather they support that character or not.

Well for short term, you may have to. If this is something NG may fix, if they do, will take a while.
You'll have to contact NG support about this.

I would doubt it. NG seems to be more focused on all the cool things people complaint about, like;
back haul
AP mode
Disney/circle
device list
etc.

You can try the update and see. I presume it may not. Did you contact NG support and ask about this? You should contact them and ask to see what they say.
