Silly question about using Ethernet ports on a satellite

Silly question but appreciate any feedback.

So I have a Orbi RBR20 router and 1 RBW30 plug in satellite. I’m in a new house now and need to add 1-2 satellites.

My question is do you have to provide internet to the yellow ethernet port on the satellites that have them? Or can you just plug them into the power and use them like a plug in (that doesn’t use the yellow Ethernet).

Hope that makes sense.

Re: Silly question about using Ethernet ports on a satellite

The Satellites DO NOT have a yellow WAN port. Only the Router does.

So yes, you just need to power up the new Satellites and sync them with the Router to get them to work, exactly as you did when you synced your RBW30 with the Router. 🙂

Good luck
