Re: Trouble connecting wireless printer
What wireless security modes are you using? Try WPA and TPIK then try WPA2 and AES and see if the printer will connect.

Try changing the 2.4GHz channel on the Orbi router to a fixed value that is Channel 11 or lower. The Orbi has all 13 channels but many devices and especially printers only connect on channels 1 - 11. Because Orbi automatically selects the clearest channel, it often defaults to 13 to avoid neighbourhood congestion. But older devices can't see that channel.
Please post back with results.

Re: Trouble connecting wireless printer
Did you reset and reconfigure your wireless printer using the Orbi's SSID? Is the problem with the printer connecting to the wireless network or your PC clients nor being able to see the printer? If the latter, also uninstall/reinstall the printer driver.
Some people have issues with their wireless printers after they replace an older wireless router with the Orbi. It's not sufficient to just name your SSID the same and hope that all your clients will still work. Some of them, like printers, are particular and need to be reconfigured even using the same wireless settings as before.

Re: Trouble connecting wireless printer
How close is the printer to the router or satellite?
To see if the printer will connect at all to the Orbi at all wirelessly, set the wireless security mode to Disabled or Open on the Orbi router Temporarily. Then try to connect the printer to the Orbi. Will it connect then?
Re-enable WPA2 after testing the printer.

Re: Trouble connecting wireless printer
Thanks for the suggestion ... been out of town and am back ... The router see the printer asked to connect the printer to the computor to download the software and gets to 99% and just sits there and after a little while says its tacking to long and quits the connection ... Maybe the printer is to old to work with this new router ...???

Re: Trouble connecting wireless printer
To test that, try setting the Orbi wifi routers WPA security to Disable or OPEN Temporarily. Then try to connect the printer to the wifi. Does it connect then? If so, try setting the Orbi security to WPA and TPIK only and test. Then try mixed WPA/WPA2 and mixed security modes.
Last FW for the printer was 4 years ago:
Also does this printer have a RJ45 LAN port in back? If so, you can connect the printer to the router using this method...

Re: Trouble connecting wireless printer
Ya I have a friend who has a HP printer that has wireless, wont connect to the newer router.
I suggest getting a HP wifi printer server that has a USB port which you could connect it to the Orbi system, then connect the printer to the printer server. Point your PCs and such to the Printer server.
Good Luck.
