Unable to enable remote access - Registered to another account

When I am trying to enable remote access it syas "This netgear device is already registered with another account.

I bought it from Amamazon yesterday. Please help

This does happen when a product has been returned to Amazon and resold.  What seems to work best is to send a private message to one of the system moderators (by clicking on their "at name", such as @Blanca_O  They all have that "N" after their name.)  Netgear prefers that customers not put private information on the public forum, so in the private message you can give the details, i.e.

  • Who you are (name, address)
  • Serial number of the Orbi
  • When purchased from Amazon

My guess is the minions at Amazon who process returns have no convenient method to determine if the product got "registered" before being returned.

Having similar issue. Was working fine till after the update when I started getting the message the device is already registered to another account.

They won’t help me because the warranty is expired on it. I am the original owner of this Wi-Fi router that’s why I don’t understand. This happened when the app updated and now when I login it doesn’t recognize my account.

Try this. Remove the app. Reboot your mobile device. Re-install the app. Run thru a new setup with your Orbi. Yes, even though it's already setup. Just run thru it. See if this helps.
