Unable to log on to site
Router Model: RBR40
Firmware: V2.6.2.104
Armour and Circle are not enabled
Preface I have read other questions, but those don't seem to work and another that experienced the problem just started working for the guy.
I was going to a website to log in to use the account. It returns a 403 error on the page and does not even reach the login form. Note, this is for ANY device on the network hardlined or wifi; even my wife can't access her account through the site.
I will say I can get the login form and sign in on said site via a cellular network, or logged into my company's VPN without issue.
Yet to call the ISP but the things I have tried in process of elimination:
- cleared cache/data on browser, quit and reopen to the site.
- private browsing
- other browsers
- followed instructions of the tech support for the site.
- other devices
- rebooted router and modem.
- reset router to factory settings
- tried different DNS servers instead of the ISP defaults.
- added the https for unblocking services as per another question suggestion
Aside from using the cell network as stated above all the above items resulted in not hitting the sites login form still. Even with factory settings.
And the last FINAL thing I tried was removing the router entirely from the equation and connect directly to the modem's ethernet output. This was the only thing that worked thus far. Using this method I could access the login form normally without issue.
Which if I'm thinking about it correctly is not an ISP issue, not a device issue, but rather instead some issue with the router itself.
Any further ideas would be useful.

Aside from this one URL, web browsing works normally?
These appear to all of the normal troubleshooting steps.
- Can you explain more about "added the https for unblocking services"?
The Security menu item "Block Services" is a method to prevent specified devices on the LAN from making specific TCP connections. The absence of any entries in Block Services indicates that all devices can make all connections. - Would it be possible to share the URL that is not working. I would love to attempt a connection from my Orbi.
- Is there any unusual information in the 403 Error Message? For example, anything to indicate that it did not come from the web site that was in the original connection request?

Re: Unable to log on to site
As with the other user, it seems to have resolved itself. But he was getting issues with WWE site. See the post here.
As for the unblocking of HTTPS service, see this post.
Again, that was something I was trying.
Site in question: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/
Simply click on the My Account and Ward Menu > Sign in.
This should take you their login form to sign in, but instead took me to a different page with the error message: "You do not have permission to perform the requested action" with a spinner.
The 403 error relates to okta. Their authorization service that manages their login for accounts on the site.Console output of the 403 error
Response from the request made
Req/Rep Headers

Re: Unable to log on to site
Not sure why photos I uploaded aren't appearing.
Anyways the first image referes to their Authorization service of Okta. It says it hit a custom error in the in the various files showing a typical stack trace,
The second shows the JSON request from their site:
errorCode: "E0000006"
errorSummary: "You do not have permission to perform the requested action"
errorLink: "E0000006"
errorId: "oaehinU0CiqTjORZLqnBeCd5w"
errorCauses: []
Third image elaborates on the headers for the request and response headers.

The forum software package that Netgear uses does not display images entered "in-line" using the Photos icon in the menu bar until they are approved by a forum moderator, and there are not many moderators for the huge Netgear community forum site. Images attached using the "Browse" button in the lower left are available immediately. (Why? Nobody knows. If I were in charge I would remove that damn Photos icon.)

Yes, main page and then login page. This site and Ookla are the only web sites that fail?

Re: Unable to log on to site
Well, more disappointment. Ookla requires a company name and web site to register for an account.
Does regular Speedtest.net work OK (no login)?

Not sure where Ookla came in? Are you experiencing those problems with Ookla?
Also, I've never had to sign into speedtest to use it.
