Is the "Orbi Wifi System (RBK50) AC3000 for Verizon Fios" purchased through Verizon any different than the Orbi RBK50 system purchased through another vendor (e.g. Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy)?

Hi dc_guy,

There is a specific firmware that is intended for Verizon Orbi units. The said firmware is not compatible with Orbi units purchased from another reseller.

Maybe difference in the FW used. Verizon would be responsible to FW updates on there units...
