Re: WiFi disconnect
What is the model# of the SB modem? Just making sure it's a stand alone modem and no built in router.
You can try the following:
Disable Beamforming, MIMO, Daisy Chain and Fast Roaming if these options are seen on the router. Under Advanced/Advanced Settings/Wireless
Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz. Any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Set WPA2 and AES only.
How big is your house? Sq ft.

Re: WiFi disconnect
Modem SBG65880. Yes it was combo modem router. House size 2500sf. As for your suggestions , I will not be able to do. Just thought there would be a simple answer as to why the light on the downstairs unit is off and the one upstairs is on. Thanks for trying anyway

Re: WiFi disconnect
It's recommeded to turn the modem/router in to a modem mode only if it's currently running as a router. And disable it's wifi.
This can cuase problems with the Orbi.
What firmware is currently loaded on both units?
I would try a factory reset on the Satellite and re-attach it and see if the BLUE led turn off after a while. It should not remain on.
You can try using the Orbi router by itself since you have a smaller size building as well. The Satellite may not be needed.
