existing OrbiRSB40V stopprd working
Ref: RBR20 Router with RBS40V Extender
- I have been using the Extender's Ethernet for my PC for 2 years.
- Ethernet became intermittent, then stopped working. (error = cable not connected)
- RBR20 wireless has/is working fine
- RBS40V turns solid blue, but does not send out wireless or ethernet connection
- I can see the NETGEAR-EXT on my phone's wireless
- I can connect to it on my phone, but that is all.
- tried many things, but not helping
Please help if you can, thanks, -Doug

Re: existing OrbiRSB40V stopprd working
Hi @Doug427
Welcome to NETGEAR Community!
May we please know the firmware version of the router and Orbi voice satellite?
How far is the Orbi voice satellite from the router?
You mentioned you've tried many things, does it include resetting the Orbi Voice satellite? If not, kindly reset the satellite and resync to the router.
Regards,
Blanca

Re: existing OrbiRSB40V stopprd working
I had similar experience with RBS40V, not the extender version.
Check the firmware on the router. It should not be higher than the satelite. I just spent a day trying to figure out why my RBS40V with firmware 2.6.2.4 couldn't connect to RBR40 with 2.7.2.104. I had to downgrade firmware on the router first to 2.6. But wait for it, Netgreat suggested for automated firmware update the 2.7!!! For RBS40V 2.6 is the last firmware available. So 2.7 on router basically kills RBS40V satelites.
