orbi rbs 50 listed as device not satellite

My RBS 50 syncs as an added device and not as a satellite.

The rbs (sattelite) device is showing as its own network with its own ssid (default ssid).

The firmware on both are the same.

I have tried multiple factory resets.

I have tried to sync, manually, through the app and through web browser. all with no luck.

What can I do?

Guessing this system has passed the "90 days complimentary support" period so calling Netgear is no longer an option.

Did this satellite come with the router, or was it a separate purchase?

When the Orbi web interface "Add Orbi Satellite" process is followed, does it actually say the satellite synced?

Sometimes when I have done a Factory Reset, I failed to hold the paperclip in that tiny hole until the power LED turned amber and began to flash.

Yes. It has passed the "90 days complimentary support"
this satellite did come with the router

When the Orbi web interface "Add Orbi Satellite" process is followed, it does not actually say the satellite synced, but the blue light comes on on the satellite.
when I Factory Reset, the power LED did turn amber and began to flash.

What Firmware version is currently loaded on the RBR and RBS?

Ensure FW version is the same on the RBS and the RBR

Perform a full factory reset on both router and satellite(s) then set up from scratch. Do not load any saved backup configuration files.
