Re: orbi same network not be able to reach each other
Unfortunately, the post contains conflicting information.
- RBR50 and RBR40 are both model numbers of routers which create independent local area networks (LANs) where individual devices are hidden behind Network Address Translation (NAT). (That is the meaning of the "R" in the model number - RBR50 for "Router")
- The product selected is an Orbi Pro, which is not the same as the RBR50 and RBR40 products.
It would help to see a diagram of exactly how these units are connected, together with any switches and the Internet Service Provider (ISP) device. It might be expedient to look closely at the product label (on the bottom) of each Orbi unit.

Does this mean not ever, or sometimes?
This makes a huge difference.
Thanks for clarifying the equipment. Could you look at the Orbi web interface Attached Devices page and see exactly which Orbi device the printer is using? (The Orbi app has this information also, but takes a few swipes to find it.)

Re: orbi same network not be able to reach each other
An additional test is to attempt to 'ping' the printer or open the printer web page (if it supports that feature - my Epson does).
i.e.
- Open a command window and type ping <ip address of printer>
- Open a web browser and try to connect to the printer http://<ip of printer>
