orbi with RaX120
hello
anyone can confirm me if this will work?
i have the RAX120 Router at the moment but willing to extend the coverage and i was thinking about the Orbi wifi 6 AX6000
will these both systems work together?
can it be configured that the Rax120 will be an extra meshpoint?
thx

Re: orbi with RaX120
No, the rax won't work as an extra mesh point. Its not a mesh router.
you can use it and go: RAX--->mesh system (in access point mode)
And use the RAX as the primary router. Then you just set the rax wireless to different channels from the mesh system (to prevent interference). You'd also want a seperate ssid name because devices connected to the RAX wouldn't roam like the mesh system would. It would allow you to retain the rax and use it either as a backup or even as a way to offload the mesh system from things like IoT devices or streamers that don't move.

Re: orbi with RaX120
Please visit and post about any Orbi AX information over in the Orbi AX forum:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-AX/bd-p/en-home-orbi-ax
The RAX could be the main host router with it's wifi radios disabled an the Orbi setup for AP mode.
The RAX can't be used as a satellie.
Thank you.
