Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

I still can't connect to mine. Was a new firmware supposed to be pushed by now, or do I have to factory reset? What is the procedure for the factory reset?

My impression is that Netgear has pushed new firmware to every system that will accept it, but that some systems are not cooperating.
It appears (to me) that you have three choices:
- Continue to wait and occasionally restart the router.
- Send a private message to a forum moderator (by clicking on their screen name and selecting Send a Private Message) such as @ChristineT . include the product serial number and Netgear will attempt to force an update to it during the night. (except this being the 4th of July weekend, I would not expect anything to happen quickly)
- Do a Factory Reset and go through the configuration manually.
