Cannot complete setup ORBI RBK752

I know there are several other threads with a very similar problem - all marked solved, despite the fact the problem is clearly not solved. I just purchased an ORBI RBK752 system (AX4200) and tried to go through the setup through the iPhone app (IOS 14.4). It is the newest version of the app, I have never had another Netgear app on my phone, and I cannot make it work.

The Orbi router is being connected through ethernet cable to a Verizon FIOS Gateway G1100. I have not changed any settings on the gateway, and have not yet disabled its wifi except to test whether turning it off fixed my problems (it didn't).

First, the app asks me to ensure that Orbi app has access to "local network" through settings on my phone. This capability does not EXIST in the app, not can I allow it through going to the phone's settings. I followed suggestions to install/delete Nighthawk and trick it into accessing the local network, but that did not work. Uninstalled everything, started over. That failed. Tried an old phone running OS 12. That failed, same problems.

Got a human being through chat. They were able to walk me through a physical install without the app, following this knowledge base article:
https://kb.netgear.com/31017/How-do-I-set-up-my-Orbi-router-and-satellite

That got me through step 9 of the article, where all the connections are made the the lights are the colors they're supposed to be. Then come Steps 10 & 11:
"10. Connect your computer or mobile device to the Orbi router or satellite with an Ethernet or WiFi connection.
Note: To connect with WiFi, find the preset WiFi network name (SSID) and password on the label on the Orbi router or satellite and connect to that network from your WiFi-enabled computer or mobile device.
11. Download the Orbi app or visit http://orbilogin.com to set up your Orbi WiFi network."

I can technically log into the Orbi wifi network. I just can't do anything. I have no internet connection, so I cannot visit http://orbilogin.com. If I switch back to my old wifi network on the gateway, trying that takes me to a troubleshooting page that tells me I'm not on my Orbi network (I know). It offers that I can control the Orbi router through  http://192.168.1.1 or http://10.0.0.1, but the first one is the same address the gateway uses, and entering that takes me to the gateway's interface, not the Orbi's. The second one seems to do nothing at all.

I'll get back on chat with support when I can afford to take my network down again and try some more things, but thought I'd see if ANYONE has figured out how to get this to work.

Summary: Orbi looks like it works, wifi network exists and is joinable, but it provides no internet connection. App is 0% help.

Re: Cannot complete setup ORBI RBK752

Thanks. In the end, being on with Netgear chat support, I was able to get it to work by hitting the reset button on the Orbi and going through all the steps again, and directly accessing the webpage through the 10.0.0.1 address (the other default addresses are used by my modem). Once I was through all that, the app on my phone started to work. So, A+ for the support staff, although it took hours, and like a D- for an app and setup that clearly couldn't work without their helpline's intervention on a device that was pretty pricey. I also found that when it wasn't going anywhere and I had lost confidence in the product, getting a return authorization was going to be a huge hassle (I ordered it direct from Netgear, not Amazon, as I'm trying to give less business to Amazon -- but Amazon honors returns).
