Do you always reset back to default factory settings after upgrading your Orbi's firmwares?

1. No - If no problems are seen after the update. See #2
2. No - Sometimes just a full ON power OFF of the RBR and RBS and ISP modem is only needed. I have been doing this for past few versions of FW and haven't had any ill effects before and after this. I call this a "dirty FW update".
3. Yes - Maybe needed as last resort if #2 doesn't work or help to resolve problems.
3. Yes - For users who like to start fresh after each update. I call this a "clean FW Update". Historically for me, I have always done this as from personal experience, i've seen odd issues appear after a FW update. NG and NON NG routers.
