RBR350 - satellites syncing multiple times per day - unstable backhaul?

Hi,

I bought RBR350 with two satellites. The Router is at the top floor and the satellites are on the middle floor. Between each of them is approx 10m/30ft. The issue I have are the teleconferences, which can freeze up to 10 seconds, then all continues as usual. I also noticed, that the satellites blink (white light) multiple times per day.

My settings are:

2.4 20/40Mhz coexistence off

UPnp off

WMM off (set directly through debug page).

Everything else is set to default. Does anyone have any idea why the above problem is happening?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Re: RBR350 - satellites syncing multiple times per day - unstable backhaul?

Hi,

thanks for helping. I'll try to answer

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
All three devices are on the latest fw. At least that's what the checks tell me.

RBR350 V4.4.0.10_2.10.63 No new firmware version available.
RBS350 V4.4.0.10 No new firmware version available.
RBS350 V4.4.0.10 No new firmware version available.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
I am sorry, I don't understand this question. Maybe it will help that the router from ISP has disabled wifi and precisely 1 device plugged in - orbi. Also, the DHCP is on orbi, not on the ISP's device.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
There are three floors, each approx 70 square meters/750 square feet. As said, the router is on the top floor, while the satellites are in the middle.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz.
Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
OK, I can change 2.4 channels. Cannot change any 5GHz channels as there is no option through the GUI. Will try changing 2.4GHz.

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Yeah, 3 neighbours (rural area). Shouldn't be a big problem here.

Thanks for suggestions. Will try.

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

What happens if you turn OFF one of the farther RBS and leave the other one running?

Apple seems to think that WMM should be set to "on":

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202068#:~:text=WMM&text=WMM%20(Wi-Fi%20multimedia),of%20devices%20...

As does Netgear:
