RBR853 - Disable NAT/ routing / DHCP server, but keep Mesh?
Hello all.
I have an RBR853 mesh set up at home. Works well.
I am looking to place the RBR853 mesh network behind a firewall, which will be doing NAT and routing outound (towards Internet - multiple uplinks) and inbound (looking to break out multiple VLANs via a switch to segent the inside home network).
In this scerario, I would prefer to eliminate the layer of NAT, routing, and DHCP service provided by the RBR853 base, and have these services provided by the firewall instead. I am aware that I can turn the Orbi system into AP-only mode, which would do this - BUT my question is, if I switch the Orbi system to AP-only mode, do I lose the mesh capability of the Orbi system?

Configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
No, AP mode still runs MESH configuration.
