I have a ORBI WiFi 6 system with 2 satellites and 2 Virgin V6 boxes. The Virgin boxes all worked well and communicated via wifi with each other allowing me to watch videos on one recorded on the other. Until.... a recent firmware upgrade on the router. So everything still connects individually and I still have a good signal, but my virgin boxes won't talk to each other. I have tried rebooting everything several times but it makes no difference. Is there a new setting in the Orbi I need to adjust? Any other advice. Thanks

Re: Virgin V6 boxes since new orbi firmware
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What Firmware version did you have loaded prior?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Re: Virgin V6 boxes since new orbi firmware
Thank you for your interest. My firmware is 3.2.16.22 which I loaded recently as it came as a recommende update in the app.I don't know what was there previously but it was the standard version which had worked well on all systems for several months. I am on Virgin broadband and have superhub 3 running in modem mode which has worked fine since i bought the orbi. I have done a reboot (from the app) of the system which probably isn't a factory reset. how would I do that?
Thank you.

Re: Virgin V6 boxes since new orbi firmware
Wire connect a PC to the router and factory reset the router using the back push pin button. Hold it in for 15 seconds then let go. Power OFF the ISP modem for 30 seconds than back on. Wait for the WHITE led to slowly pulsate on top of the RBR, then log in to orbilogin.com using a web browser and walk thru the setup wizard. This time write down all important information for safe keeping later on.
IF this doe not resolve the problem you can downgrade the system to v6 which may have been what had been loaded previously.

Re: Virgin V6 boxes since new orbi firmware
i found the solution. Rather than just resetting the virgin boxes, I turned them completely off and took out the plug. On restarting everything works fine. Thanks again for your interest. AlanLS
