Advanced Wireless Settings (MLO Backhaul) |
Enable 240MHz Bandwidth |
What does this do ? is it just for backhaul from router to satellites OR is it for devices to satellite or router?
I can not seem to find any info on it
Thank you

Combines having both 5Ghz and 6Ghz backhaul radios running at the same time. If conditions are good. IF conditions are not prefereanble or problematic, the system will drop to 5Ghz (SLO) backhaul.

Re: Advanced Wireless Settings (MLO Backhaul) Enable 240MHz Bandwidth
In Netgear terms, backhaul is the connection between the Mesh nodes devices, so the data backhaul between router and satellites.
No idea by how far Netgear does intentionally restrict the MLO usage to the backhaul, avoiding or blocking out compatible MLO capable wireless clients now or in the future - operating within the standards.

Re: Advanced Wireless Settings (MLO Backhaul) Enable 240MHz Bandwidth
Hi There,
Engineering team here. To be more precise your system by default should already be running in 5GHz + 6GHz MLO Backhaul with a bandwidth capacity of 160MHz which is still extremely fast. When enabling 240MHz, you are enabling even faster speeds due to higher bandwidth! But there is a catch. In order to fully benefit out of 240MHz it requires using a DFS channel which is susceptible to a DFS radar event where bandwidth might have to be lower or channel has to change completely

Only if you live near a air port or some facility that has radar signals near by.
