Best Placement for Orbi 970 Series Router + 2 Satelites w/ Guest House & Dock?
So... here's what I'm looking at trying to solve... main house is approx 2000 SF, guest house is just under 900 SF... picked up Orbi 970 series hoping it can bridge the gaps... 240' to dock and 85' through walls to guest house... Any thoughts on best placement for 2 satellites?
Any other solutions that would be better/combined with?

I think you should place the router in a central location within the main house. Ensure that it is elevated and free from obstructions. Position one satellite closer to the areas where you frequently use devices, and place the other satellite strategically, perhaps midway between the main house and the dock. This will create a well-balanced and extended coverage area.

Re: Best Placement for Orbi 970 Series Router + 2 Satelites w/ Guest House & Dock?
240 feet is too far for general wifi to travel from the home. Might consider a buried CAT6A STP lan cable from the home to the Dock area and if there is power there, connect up a simple wifi AP there. Guest house would probably be configured for same. Distance is far enough to warranty a wired connection there with a simple wired AP placed there for guest use.
