Orbi connects to R7000 for openvpn client

As Orbi do not support openvpn client, I plan to connect orbi with R7000. I found some ideas from below link.

I would like to know is there any configuration I need to pre-set in Orbi base and satellite

The R7000 wifi is closed. Should I configure the wifi setting in orbi base? Or I can simply connect a cable to orbi base and everything fine?

Thanks. I also want to add EX7500 into my network.

May I ask more about your setup?

Modem ->(cable) R7000 -> (cable) orbi  -> (mesh wifi) orbi / ex7500

Sorry I am newbie of network installation.

You should only need the Orbi system for your wifi needs. EX7500 shouldn't be needed.
