Possible to designate devices to use a specific satellite...
Hi.
Is it possible to designate certain devices to specifically default to the Orbi satellite rather than the main modem/router?
My son is a gamer and his room is a little closer in distance to the satellite, but all of his devices default to the modem/router.
My assumption and fact gathering online points to "No", but I wanted to see if I am missing something.
Thanks!

You can't. You can try this. Turn down the power out put of the CBRs wifi radios to help some. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router

Apologies if this is a repost, but I'm not seeing my original reply...
@FURRYe38 . The distance is just under 30 feet.
I've attached a screenshot.
Do I adjust the radio power for the 2.4 or the 5G? Both the modem and the satellit operate on 5G mostly.
If I lower that one, would that affect all the devices connected to 5G?

Might try moving the RBS a bit farther out.
You can adjust either radio out put. It won't effect the other if you leave the other radio output alone.

Well, it is already as far as it can go in my home. 'Farther out' would be outside. 🙂

Ok, turning down the power on the RBR should help some.
