RBK30 does not contain a modem, so if your connection requires a modem (e.g. DSL or cable) you will need a modem. There is an Orbi model with a built-in cable modem. You may want to check this model (CBK40) : https://www.netgear.com/orbi/cbk40.aspx

The orbi RBK30 doesn't have an integrated modem. So you'd either need to keep your modem from cox or buy a supported modem for your service.
