Alarm Control Unit - Setting up Wi-Fi
I have an alarm panel that reuires the WI-FI to be setup using a smartphone. The Alarm Control Unit is 2.4 Ghz only. For the setup to work they must be on the same network. I am assuming the connection is not working because my phone is connecting to 5 Ghz. Any ideas?

Re: Alarm Control Unit - Setting up Wi-Fi
Devices connecting to 2.4G and 5G are both on the same network and can communicate with no issues.
It's more likely that your alarm system control unit is not actually connecting to Orbi's WiFi network at all.

Re: Alarm Control Unit - Setting up Wi-Fi
It is possible the control unit is not connecting. There are no indications on the control unit what network it is connecting too. I have reached out to the company.
What about the turning off the beaming feature?

Re: Alarm Control Unit - Setting up Wi-Fi
I can't give you a suggestion I know will work. You could try turning off beamforming, or try each setting of the 20/40 MHz coexistence feature under Advanced Wireless Settings, 2.4 GHz.
