Disable wireless radios RBK50

Hi,

A question regarding the Orbi systems.

Is it possible to disable the user faced 2.4ghz/5ghz wireless radios in either the router base or the satellite and the backhaul stay intact?

I am comfortable using CLI if it has the capability.

Thanks!

I have not done this myself.  There is a description in the forum of how to disable radios:

Good Luck!

As far as I know, having not done this myself.  The key is the interface names.  @ekhalil wrote up an excellent description of all the radio names: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/Understanding-Orbi-Radio-Fronthaul-Backhaul/m-p/1671092

Re: Disable wireless radios RBK50

Dern...I've found I cannot really find a way to actually disable the 2.4ghz radio on the RBR50 only and allow the satellite only push 2.4ghz. I can run the command "ifconfig ath0 down" via telnet on the RBR50 and that basically stops devices from using it's 2.4ghz radio (pushing them all to the satellite but 1 or 2 devices), but I can see from a network scan that it is, in fact, still broadcasting the network with that radio, as I can see 2 instances of my network on the 2.4ghz spectrum with one being @ -20dB while in the same room with the RBR50, so I know it is. 😞
