Hi, how are you?
Please help me on this. My situation:
Cable modem from my ISP (with wifi desactivated both 2.4 and 5ghz), connected to the Orbi Router RBK20 via ethernet. Orbi in AP mode... I can see the App working in the Ipad and using chrome at OrbiLogin... In my dashboard, everything is green expect guest network which is yellow. But I don't want it, I don't care. If I intend to enable guest network, I get this error:
"WPS process is in progress, please apply the changes later." ... what is that?
I have this problem. Often, i'm disconnected from the wifi and I can't acces at the OrbiLogin no more...
Every time that I'm trying to use the app, it crashes the internet, I get disconnected from the OrbiLogin.
If I use only the Orbilogin (to test that everything it's working), I'm fine for a while, then some devices are connncted to the wifi but with no internet, sometimes they get disconnected also.
It looks like that only with my Imac, with no wifi, just ethernet connected to the Orbi router, the internet doens't drop
What Can it be? Some settings recommended on my router? I have this modem http://www.ubeeinteractive.com/?product=ubc1310
In the worst case scenario, reset settings and start from scratch, but I won't prefer that not.
I thought that having this my wifi system was flying LOL .. I'm kind of frustrated, nut i'm optimist to resolve it soon.
Looking forward for your help,
Have a great day

If it doesn't have bridge mode then it may not be supporting or have a built in router. You'll be fine for now.
Be sure to ask the ISP to ensure that you don't have a ONT with a built in router when the cross you to Fiber. Just need WAN side IP addressing up to the RBR is all.
Please mark your thread as solved if things are working better.

Re: Got disconnected often
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
Be sure to use a web browser to access the RBRs web page. IE11, Firefox or Opera.
Be sure to clear ALL browser caches before entering the RBRs web page.

Re: Got disconnected often
Hi,
Thank you for your help. At the end, restoring all factory settings, a firmware issue, and disabled a VPN app (that maybe was cusing the trouble connecting), I finally was able to set it up, 100% well functionally working now.
The weird thing is that It's working well in router mode, but I didn't put my ISP modem on bridge mode. How can this be ossible?
Thanks again your help.

Re: Got disconnected often
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Re: Got disconnected often
Hi,
Thnaks for your reply. My modem doesn't have the bridge mode feature, I check it already. And I'm honestly happier with the full Router mode fetaures, instead of AP mode, which has much less features. And it's working fine so far.
I disables all the advanced network settings, including the Daisy Chain. And it never drops down the conenction, so far.
In the next weeks, my ISP will switch the cable to fiber optic, which it will be, I guess, a huge difference.
