How to block 5 GHZ

I have a RBR40 with 3 satellites.  I have 2 devices, an indoor cam & a smart scale, that require a 2.4Ghz signal to connect and setup.  They are not smart enough to find the 2.4 signal.  How can I temporarily block the 5 Ghz signal?

You cannot block the 5G signal, but on the original Orbi routers (such as the RBR40), there is an option on the Orbi web browser interface, the Advanced Tab, Advanced Settings, Wireless Settings to stop the radio from broadcasting the SSID.  (uncheck the box).  Once this is done, all devices that are already connected to the 5G WiFi will remain connected, but new devices will not discover it.  On the smartphone running the app, "Forget" the Orbi WiFi, then search for a connection --- which will be the 2.4G channel.

p.s. those devices definitely cannot detect or connect to the 5G WiFi.  They do not have a radio chip in them that can sense 5G.  Most of the time, just ignoring the warnings about "MUST have 2.4G" are sufficient.
