seems it was not my Orbi voice after all
followed instructions here (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/How-to-set-a-separate-SSID-for-the-5-GHz-network-on-your-Orbi/...) and named my 2.4 & 5Ghz networks.
So far it seems to be working much better

Not using normal configuration but you can disable wifi interfaces on the node using telnet commands.

You will just loose the wireless connectivity to the Satellite so it will not be part of your mesh network!

Do you have a link to any documentation on that?
I have a feeling that my Orbi Voice is messing up with my wifi setup...
Tried to put it on ethernet to take backhaul out of the equation, still poor wifi performance
Turned it off and my Orbi setup is cool again.
