How to disable auto upgrade?

I still keep having period 5-second complete net...
Did you try setting up a block on FTP port 21 to 191.168.1.1?
Also add those URLs to block?
I would if I could, but my Orbi is in AP mode which disables all further configuration and my home router's filtering capabilities are laughable.
So kneecapping the Orbi's ability to upgrade itself seems to be my best bet.
I presume this would or in Router mode. Ya AP mode disable all non required features for AP mode.
Was told it works in router mode.
Let us know if your solution works for you in AP mode.
How about blocking FTP to the IP address of the Orbi while in AP mode on your main host router?
