yes , you would can run the 4500 as a router only and disable its wifi and run the orbi in ap mode behind it

sure the range is the same weather the orbi is in ap or router mode

the n4500 what ever that is will do the routing and control everything , the orbi does what it does best and that give whole home wifi coverage using wifi backhaul
