Need to delete netgear/orbi account asap

Since none of us work for Netgear, we have no method to get into the user database.  What seems to work for problems like this is to send a private message to one of the forum moderators (their screen name has a "Capital N" at the end) explaining the problem.  Include relevant information such as product number, serial number, and how to contact you.  As you can appreciate, Netgear preferrs that personal information not be posted to the public forum.  I would try Blanca_O or Dustin_V 

It seems a bit extreme to toss out a WiFi router because some accounts got hacked.  I would simply change the account email/password to something different and do a Factory Reset on the router.

And you don't have to connect or use the Orbi app with a Orbi system. You can set up the Orbi system with out connecting it to any accounts.
