Netgear is a joke!!! Please help with connection
I have the app downloaded which now says my Orbi isn't supported by this app which is a joke because I just got it from target 92 days ago! Anyway my Internet is working and then all of a sudden it says that there is no connection and that it is not trusted and that I need to update my firmware I go and update my firmware but then it does nothing do I have to do this on my phone or on the computer or how do I get it to work. Such a joke for the price I paid!

Re: Netgear is a joke!!! Please help with connection
A couple things.
1. This is the orbi forum: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/bd-p/Orbi
2. What firmware are you on?
3. What modem/gateway do you have it connected to?
4. have you looked at the support site? it has manuals, guides, troubleshooting, and firmware.

5. there is a manual firmware update process for the orbi. It works great and I'd highly recommend using that method hardwired into the router. Update the satellites first, then the router.
6. I'd highly recommend against updating via the app. When we see issues with corrupt firmware it tends to be when people are using the app or doing it over wireless.

Re: Netgear is a joke!!! Please help with connection
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or may not be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
