Yes, v32 has been removed from NGs download site. I was informed NG found problems with it thus they removed it. I recommend using v16 as it's stable. Mines working well with it.

Any progress on this?

I did #3 as Fury said and am still having the same problems.  Could it be the Zyxel 1100C router?  I am thinking I will do a hard reset on that and see what happens.

I did a hard reset of the modem and it did not solve the problem.  I contacted my ISP (Century Link) and they are sending a new modem.  I am doubful it will work becasue after getting together with our neighbor last night, he checked his speed and was having the same problem.

After getting 2 new modems from CenturyLink, the problem has been resolved. My speeds are consistently at 100Mbps. Thanks to everyone who helped.

Re: New Orbi 50 series Firmware Version 2.5.1.32 FW Release

Since there is so much confusion out there, (I know I'm confused), about what firmware is official and what firmware is causing issues, etc., plus the fact that my company installs these systems for customers, I contacted Netgear direct and talked to their support specialist.

According to the Netgear specialist:

"There is no firmware 2.5.1.22, 2.5.1.32 and as well 2.5.2.4 for RBR40, RBR50, even on RBR50v2 -The latest firmware for RBR40, RBR50,  RBR50v2 should be "2.5.1.16" - It is Highly suggested that to install firmware for the appropriate model number only which is posted on our Netgear support site. Could you elaborate where you are seeing 2.5.1.22, 2.5.1.32 and 2.5.2.4 for download?"

Many of you are saying that Netgear is pushing these newer firmware to your Orbi systems, but Netgear is saying no. I checked the last 10 installs, and had our customers, check the version number on their Orbi devices. All are on 2.5.1.16 and all systems were new out of the box.

This raises a valid question, as to where these versions are coming from and why some have received them and others not.

So, to take a poll, who received the newer firmware who purchased their product new from an authorized seller, and who received the newer firmware who purchased their product used?

Bought my RBK50 set new a couple of years ago (2017). Last week it installed the 'new' 2.5.2.4 firmware without me asking for it. I reverted back to the firmware I was on before (2.5.1.16)

Today I read about someone who received firmware version V2.7.0.70 without asking for it. So there seems to be something strange about this 'pushed' firmware updates.

Re: New Orbi 50 series Firmware Version 2.5.1.32 FW Release

I bought my RBK50 set plus an additional satellite from BestBuy in January of 2018.  I was running .32 because I wasn't really having any issue with it and automagically my router and both satellites were updated to 2.5.2.4 without any action on my part.

Re: New Orbi 50 series Firmware Version 2.5.1.32 FW Release

I had been running 2.5.1.16 and had manually updated to 2.5.1.32 (downloaded from the netgear support site).  Sometime later, 2.5.2.4 got pushed to me by Netgear.  My assumption is 2.5.1.32 had some sort of issue and that Netgear created 2.5.2.4 (and guessing here - that it's the same as 2.5.1.16) with a higher version number and pushed it out to those of us who had manually updated to 2.5.1.32.

Re: New Orbi 50 series Firmware Version 2.5.1.32 FW Release

NG pulled v32 as they found problems with it. I also noticed problems aswell so I reverted to v16. Some have had the opportunite to have v4 installed which seems to be not availalbe for all yet. Users are encouraged to try v4 and if they see any prolems, factory reset and setup from scratch and see if this resolves there problems, if not, you can revert back to v16 which seems to be the most stable IMO version to date. I haven't had a chance to try v4 yet. Users who see v70 thru the Orbi app are recommended to not update to this version either, been some reports of this going around as well. I would avoid any FW notifications thru the Orbi app until NG comes out with a more official FW version that gets posted to there download web page for everyone to use. Currently v16 is most current official versoin of FW thats downloadable by users.
