New windows laptop is able to connect to Orbi router, but not satellite. Other devices okay.

I've had RBR40 router and 2 satellites for some time with no major issues. I received a new Windows laptop and it has trouble connecting/staying connected to satellite. No issues connecting to router, but the signal is weak in home office. Other devices are able to connect to satellite in office just fine. I'm assuming it's a setting on my laptop, but satellites also have issues holding connection to router, which is recent issue. I've reset, rebooted, and confirmed firmware updates. Satellites are in router, not AP mode.

Re: New windows laptop is able to connect to Orbi router, but not satellite. Other devices okay.

What Firmware is currently loaded? V2.3.5.30
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?

Connected to AT&T Uverse Arris 5268AC

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft? 4200 sf
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. 40-50 ft

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz. Channels 1 & 48
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many? Yes, neighbors on sides, around 125 ft

Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings Beamforming, WWM, and MIMO enabled

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s). I've had backhaul issues when disabling Daisy Chain. I'll troubleshoot one by one, beginning with disabling Armor and Circle.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? Yes

Updated: Disabling Armor seems to have worked! This couldn't have been the issue originally; however, because it was not active when I first started experiencing the problem. But it's working now and I don't want to mess with it.

Thank you!

Glad you got it working. Armor seems to cause problems here and there for users. I'd not use it if your don't need it.

Be sure to make a back up configuration to file for safe keeping.

Enjoy. Smiley Wink
