The most common factor that interferes with VPN is having two routers in series (Google "router double NAT").
assuming that your VPN was working prior to installing the Orbi, then you already had a "router".
Out-of-the-box, the Orbi is configured to be a router, which works fine except for specific applications, such as VPN.
There are two generally accepted solutions:
- Put the internet modem into "bridge" or "passthrough" mode (i.e. no longer a router).
At the same time, disable any WiFi on the modem. - The other choice is to run the Orbi in Access Point (AP) mode.
