ORBI RBR/S50 dropping connection every 5 minutes

Im reading all of the "older" posts and the fix for them is the https://kb.netgear.com/000044171/RBR50-Firmware-Version-1-12-0-18.  Is this still the fix some 2+ months later?

Symptoms:

Im online and I will lose connection for 5 seconds and the connection will comeback.  I am a wfh consultant so I am on webex 10 hours a day... if I am on VPN with a customer (we all know how sensitive and latent VPN can sometimes be) the connection drop will not immediately reset and it can drop my voice or drop connection for a few seconds and immediately reconnect.  Its almost as if Im losing enough packets or getting a rst then getting back into the webex.

Of course... this is very annoying an not conducive to my work!

What is the most current fix for this?  My current setup is using the ATT Uverse 5268AC with DMZ+ mode into the ORBI and my primary computers are all hardwired into the ORBI.

Re: ORBI RBR/S50 dropping connection every 5 minutes

Definitely upgrade firmware 2.0.0.74, but I found that a camera on my network was causing a similar issue with real time traffic because of bad UPnP implimentation, when I turned off UPnP under advanced settings everything was good including VOIP and RDP connecitons.

Re: ORBI RBR/S50 dropping connection every 5 minutes

I removed UPnP and the issue is still occuring.  I am on the suggested firmware version... if there are any other suggestions... Im definitely willing to try them out!

Whats up with the 7ms and then 70ms after the dropped packets?

Re: ORBI RBR/S50 dropping connection every 5 minutes

Cannot tell what's up with your ping times. Maybe try pinging the router itself or another device on your network. Let's see that.
