ORBI RBS/RBR 40 UPNP not working when device connected to satellite
I'm having exactly the same issue as described in this thread:
but the solution of disabling the daisy chain topology does not fix it for me...
I have the Orbi RBR/RBS 40 pair in access point mode connected to a TP-Link VR2800 router. If i connect my Synology NAS wired to the RBR40 hub it can detect the VR2800 and happily set the upnp port forwarding rules. However if i connect the NAS wired to the satellite it is unable to detect a compatible upnp router. Everything else seems fine except this upnp issue. Both the hub and satellite have the latest firmware installed.

Re: ORBI RBS/RBR 40 UPNP not working when device connected to satellite
Hi
UPNP is already enabled on my router. This issue i'm describing is that the Orbi satellite is not forwarding the requests to the router.

No one has been able offer any suggestions to fix it just yet.
If it's under warranty contact support, if NOT perhaps it's time to move on
