ORBI VPN on Windows 10 not working

I have set up my orbi for VPN, created a DDNS entry, downloaded the setup files. 

 

I have no issues connecting to the VPN on my Android PIE device using the smart_phone.opvn, also no issues from a Mac using tunnelblick (openvpn alternative for Mac OS) using the nonwindows files donwloaded from the ORBI setup page. However when I try my windows 10 machine using the windows.zip from the setup page (after unzipping it into the configuration folder of OPENVPN), I cannot get any connection. I did rename the TAP adapter to NETGEAR-VPN as suggested.

 

The intersting thing is, if I use the smart_phone.opvn file instead on the windows specific setup files on my window machine, I can connect to the VPN without any issues. 

 

What is the issue? The main difference in the OPVN files (smartphone vs windows client) is TUN vs TAP.

 

Any suggestions?

    - What is the error message when you connect on your Windows 10 computer? 

    - What version is the OpenVPN client used? 

     

    Kindly set Tap Mode Service Type to TCP and try to connect again.
