Orb RBR40 Router won't connect to Windows 10 desktop
I have 2 satellites connected to the router. The router is connected to an AT&T modem. Problems with slow internet started a few days ago. Found that some of the devices were assigned to a satellite farther away. Tried to reassign some devices, but still slow speeds. 2 questions:
1. All devices (phones, tablets, printers) are connected to Orbi, except for a Windows 10 desktop. Can't connect to the network is the error message. Not sure why this happened now. Have had the Orbi at least a year.
2. Should some devises be assigned to the router, if they are close to the router? I assume devices should run off whichever satellite is closer.

Re: Orb RBR40 Router won't connect to Windows 10 desktop
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure the Windows 10 PC has updated network adapter drivers from the adapter mfr.
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or may not be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

Right-click on the Windows wireless connection and select Forget, then setup the wireless connection again. It might be trying to reuse old info that has since changed so this is the best way to reset and connection again. If that doesn't work, run Windows Update and make sure your wireless network drivers are up-to-date.
